Glasshouse Regional Gallery presents:
COURAGE TO CARE EXHIBITION
Courage to Care is a non-profit organisation which inspires people to stand up to prejudice and discrimination. Through our work, we communicate the importance of moral courage and resilience in building a more tolerant and respectful community. Developed by B’nai B’rith, the world’s oldest community service organisation, Courage to Care has been staging exhibitions and holding outreach programs in schools and workplaces across NSW for over 20 years.
The Courage to Care exhibition tells the inspiring stories of remarkable individuals who had the courage to stand up to injustice and in many cases risk their own lives and those of their families to help save persecuted Jews during the Holocaust of the Second World War. Using the stories of these courageous Upstanders, alongside displays of precious historical artefacts and moving audio-visual elements, the exhibition seeks to inspire the audience to be Upstanders themselves. We inspire people to take positive action when witnessing discrimination - empowering them with the understanding that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Even ordinary people are capable of extraordinary acts.
This exhibition is part of our Education @ Glasshouse Program.
