About the Artists

Lucy Pascale

Lucy Pascale is a local artist who lives and works in the Port Macquarie region and holds a Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts.

A journey through Europe both revealed and provided the opportunity to view the works of the great masters in museums and galleries, to interact with plein air artists in Montmartre, Venice and Rome.

Intrigued by the vast array of colours across the Mediterranean landscape, the textures of old villas, wine cellars, and classical architecture still existing from centuries ago became the inspiration for both drawing and painting.

The experience led to study in Fine Arts and to become a teacher of art at the NCI TAFE. Lucy works in oils, pastels, and watercolors. Her practice involves undertaking private and commercial art commissions, painting interiors and murals, teaching community art workshops and private tutoring.

Lucy exhibits work locally and regionally in solo and group exhibitions. Lucy designs community art projects including painting large scale backdrops for the Camden Haven Music Festival (2008, 2010), creating light sculpture installations for Artwalk Port Macquarie (2018, 2019, 2022) and painted RFS Thankyou Mural, Port Macquarie (2020).

Painting has become a key focus of Lucy's art practice, applying layers of color, texture and design to convey meaning through the medium of paint and invite the viewer into the artist world.

Lucy’s recent work can be viewed by appointment at her home studio.
